After God’s Heart

“I will love you, oh Love”; and tip the winds—my soul; for
Faith draws a cistern; and Love stirs a flame. We have lived
Love; and we have perished grey: so much to breathe: so
Much to pray. My Mighty Sword: a bulwark of stars; and I
Dare ignite Love: I dare broach the mystery. Such a life—to
Wrestle God; and such a life to plead a blessing; and newer
Names, a surge of faith: a well of love: a silver face. Indeed
The Lord, the deepest cave: a glowing Sun: a neighbor’s
Pain; and phantom waves, a ripple warm: a faucet rinse: the
Pinch of form. Alert the heart, a feast of Love: a finger soft:
The soul of Blood; and flowers speak—the briefest life: a
Tent of joy: the flirt of light; and perfect Love, a mountain
Climb: to perish Love: a storm Divine; and darkest fog, a
Slight parade: to dance the Ghost: to court the Shade.
