AFTER THE RAIN

After the rain has come and gone,
What melody to the ear
As the birds sing their songs.
The earth’s purged, the air is clear,
And all around, a cloudless sphere.
A brilliant blue, a canvas vast,
A world reborn, free from the past.
The flowers bloom, their petals bright,
A rainbow of colors, a stunning sight.
The smell of dampness fills the air
A fragrance renowned beyond compare.
So let us pause and take it in,
The beauty that the rain did bring.
For after every storm that falls
The earth’s refreshed,
Like a waterfall.

I can smell the fragrance of this poem. The smell of the rain is divine.
To me any way. B
I also love the rain Bernadete.
Thank you for your time and comment.
Have yourself a wonderful day.
Oh, I love the rain! That smell that hovers in the air before the rain arrives ... and that same smell, but stronger, once it has finished raining. The sound on the windows. The sound of the trees drinking. I love the rain... especially summer rain. Not keen on too much at once, though. And unrelenting rain that lasts for months on end? I don't like that, either. Love your poem, though xx
My sentiments as well.
Thank you so much Being Me appreciated.
