Aftertaste of Disgrace

I was convinced until the truth defeated the lie,

Proof, so now not even you could deny.

Yet for some reason you made me believe it wasn't you,

took advantage of my trust ,then scuffed me off just like a piece of gum stuck to your shoe.

Disappointed more like a painful disgrace,

lead to believe such a lie left me with a bitter aftertaste.

You broke us and for that I can't even seem to cry,

so all I have left is to leave you a lesson in my  goodbye.

The truth will set you free,

well your fib will leave you hopelessly lost at sea.

Trust may seem simple to you,

but once its broken you can not go back and undo.

So I hope you will forgive me,

my second chances don't come lightly,

and yet I see you undeserving.
