Again

The human heart is a weird thing
People play with it like a toy
You wrap it up in fine crisp paper
And give it to a boy

They open it,embrace it
And treat it like its gold
They put it in a special box
And have it just to hold

They take it from the box
And pull all of the strings
They go out to the store
And buy you diamond rings

They store it someplace else
They keep it in a drawer
They keep it kept away
Til they cant have it anymore

They throw it in the trash
They find it somewhat strange
They get sick of the same heart
And then they want a change

You come and pick it up
And wipe away the tears
Because you know this will happen
It's been happening for years

You hold it in your hands
You clean off all and the dust
And hopefully in time
These feelings will just rust.
