Age Is But A Number

Photo is of my cousin Marlene and soon to be my sixty year old daughter Steffanie, taken two weeks ago in Boca Raton,Florida
It is a very special date today, for my cousin Dear Marlene;
Eighty years young this morn, most beautiful octogenarian e’er seen!
She radiates with sweetness, smiles and laughs incessantly;
Her most positive demeanor, has been a large influence on me!
.
We both came from Philadelphia, born just four short months apart;
We bonded as little children, vowed never would we part!
Now with eight decades behind us, we look forward to two more;
As centurion kissing cousins, saying, “You still do I adore”!
.
.
Age just a number
Eight decades seen like just six
A few more coming

Beautiful Larry, family is all we have, hold on as long as you can.Â
Hi Nine Eleven,
Thanks for the inspirational words. As Sam and Dave sang in 1966, "Hold Om I'm Coming", is my message to the Gods of longevity, as I'm planning my one-hundredth birthday.
Peace and Love,
Larry

As you may know this quote of Mark Twain:
Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. She’s 80 years young?
beautiful.Â
Dear Bernadette,
Wasn't familiar with the quote, but it sure makes sense to me. Yes, as of yesterday, she's my fellow octogenarian Cousin. Pictured with her, my oldest daughter, turns sixty in two weeks. We all believe in "the Fountain of Youth".
Peace and love,
Larry
Lovely poem. Happy birthday Marlene — you don't look anywhere near 80!Â
Dear Being Me,
Thanks for the kind words. I'll pass them on to my Cuz.
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
