Aging

Aging

Getting old is a gift some don’t receive

yet as each day it gets nearer

us lucky one’s seem to grieve

it's onset fills us with fear

from it we want a reprieve

we should celebrate were still here

with each new wrinkle you perceive

smile, you’ve survived another year

Hey Susan,

Potent poem in deed, you just made a lot of the proudly aging part of our society feel very rejuvenated with this poem and for all of us, that will sooner or later join them with valor. In fact homage was paid to all in life that will reach that glorious mark, of boasting senior citizen status.Age is nothing but a number and you are only as old as you allow yourself to feel and you Susan, remains forever young, just as this poem.

Good Job,

Jim
