Aging Passion

Aging Passion

There is something here.
A gasping flame of blue.
A restless spark of immeasurable vision,
An overabundance of power that no lifeless circuit can trap.
Never succumbing to slumber,
Never fading,
Never normal.

There was something here.
A wasted gift tainted by envy.
An endless torment of talentless enemies,
Rustling the man-made cage I called home.
Never softening with sympathy,
Never easing,
Never normal.

There will be something here.
A stone-carving of your fears.
A privilege blossomed by delusions of doubt.
A legacy long recited as yours crumbles.
Never falling with time,
Never mortal,
Never normal.
