AIN'T NO WALK IN THE PARK

This my friend ain't no walk in the park
The scars I have are leaving their mark
No one said it would be easy how very true
Putting on a brave face is all I can do

This my friend ain't no stroll on a beach
Out of mind but certainly not out of reach
Time will heal my wounds people often say
While I try to get through another day

This my friend ain't no picnic in the grass
I'm hoping my agony will eventually pass
Until then it's taking things as they come
Isn't life sometimes a pain in the bum ?
