Alarm

Alarm

I was dreaming last night, suddenly
I sneezed!
A few moments of that dream
Scattered astray into the night’s dark.
There was something pleasant about that dream;
Thus, candle in hand, I set back in search
Of those lost pieces of time.
As I kept finding them,
With each moment, I rebuilt
That pleasant dream of the night.
Down to the very last piece, and
Curse!
The 6 AM alarm went off.
I woke up with such a start, that
The dream rebuilt through the night,
Piece by, searched piece
Once again, scattered away into the past.
