Alien sky and the dark wind

Something’s strange about the wind today
 Foreboding dead leaves gather around me
 Black birds fly in tight circles, after wormwood
 Moving clouds make me smile; wondering if ghosts Â
 Of the ancient armies are on the march again;
 For this blue eyed alien sky holds no sunshine Â
 Only sackcloth, ashes and the scent of slaughterÂ
 Arrows fly down and sink into my flesh Â
Bleeding out pain till I have no breath left
 Melting to invisibility my soul can just ascend
 Leaving my dry bones behind to find and bury
I look to the aliens and ancient fables for reasonÂ
 Offering my tears and high brow thoughts,
In strongest protest,
To walls of transparent clouds Â

Breathtaking imagery dear Curtis!....This grabbed my attention the second I just jumped on right now...
I read this out loud to my partner so he could feel your words and as I voiced your work I was honestly captivated and could not help but give each and every word its own unique emotion.!
