Alive

I can run into my school bully, stress

I can be made to cry by my horrible boss, responsibility

I can be beaten down by an old friend, heartbreak

But I can never miss the rain.

And I'm glad. Because when the rain hits my face after a long drought,

I've never felt more alive.
