Poem -

Another year has passed

The cool, crisp air.

Green fades to brown.

The warm, orange faces around the bonfire.

The cold, sharp wind.

Brown disappears beneath the white.

The children's laughter and New Year's kiss.

The fresh, light breeze.

White melts to reveal sweet pink.

The drawing of new breath.

The sweltering stand still.

Pink is gone and green is here.

The sand between toes and bright red faces.

Another year has passed.
