ALIVE AND DEAD

You are talked about fondly when you are dead 
So many nice things are written and also said
They all say what a wonderful human you were
Whether you were a madam or a monsieur 

Fitting tributes from all that knew of your being
Not a bad word said and everyone agreeing 
I guess it's a way of keeping the memory alive
Before you're forgotten and filed under archive 

I don't think about death or that matter dying 
Think of me as happy go lucky and no crying 
Say good things about me if that's your desire 
Will write for God he will be my new supplier
