Alive now

Alive now

I never knew what it was

to be alive

And every night instead of sleep

I cried

I remember you said you would

at least call

But I never did get

nothing at all

I felt like a piece of me

had died

Because I now knew you

had lied

I guess I was

forgotten

By now I grew cold

and my heart was rotten

But over time

I grew strength

All at my hearts expense

just another consequence

I'm fine now

Older, stronger and better

But you say you want me back

now who is the beggar

That girl you once knew

the one who was the fool

She long ago died

but now she lives and breaths

Because she's finally alive
