All Sides Effect

I've never seen the moon
this shade of spooky hue
as it's once soothing light
struggles to penetrate
the thick radioactive ash cloud
slowly suffocating
life on Earth

Soon enough
the smothering darkness
will totally obliterate all sight
day and night

Fortunately
our reckless species
will be too damn extinct
to notice the deadly
self inflicted remnants
of our global folly anymore
