Poem -

All That's Left

All That's Left

I'm close to life's conclusion

The break in the illusion
The loss of something dear
With little hope of restitution

I feel me slipping fast
The shatter of the glass
Decay at merely fractions
But a fraction more to last

It tears me limb from limb
Misfortune at a whim
Seraphim translations of my sorrows
In a hymn

And aren't you entertained
Enraptured but what pained
Charmed by things that harmed
Delight in what can blight

I write this poem as proof that I existed
And drew breath
For buried under miles of it all
Is all that's left

Hi Curious onlooker.
‘The last song has not been played as yet.
Each breath is a gift of life.. and an opportunity to do good.
Keep doing your best for your fellow man, and leave the rest in God’s hand.
liked.. Pinned.
Best of wishes.

Very well said my friend, sometimes life will see how much pain you can endure. The lord gives his strongest soldiers the toughest battles!
