All Those Years Ago

Oh my precious Angels, sweet memories flood my brain;
For I’m in Florida visiting Boca, my heart so torn in pain!
This the town of our inception, where you came as little pups;
I pass places where you once walked, as my Soul with tears erupts!

Oh to only be able go back, in time for twenty years;
To relive the joys we all shared, the love we had so dear!
The rides we took in golf carts, our promenades into town;
Our “Yappy Hours” at Starbucks, you both “gettin down”!

This time I’d give up all my travels, never to leave your sides;
If business became pressing, you would join me for the ride!
We’d roam the Earth together, inseparable every day;
Instead of taking journeys, we’d frolic and we’d play!

But these are only daydreams, and reality soon sets in;
You are lost to me forever, sorrow so suddenly rebegins!
But you will live in my Soul forever, I will never let you die;
Our parting such sweet sorrow, as each day and night I cry!
