ALMOST!

I thought about you for many years

A smile flashes across my face

Every time you pass my way

I longed with a deep desire

To be in your embrace

Then two weeks ago

As faith would have it

You took up residence at my place

But I never knew

That the enemy had also desired you

And on 4/29/21

With a slight turn of the back

I was almost carjacked

Four armed men

Tried to take my Mercedes Benz

But I was not going to release you without a fight

Not thinking about my life

Throwing punches with all my might

I had worked and saved

Over the years

To have you as my own

And I am so happy that today

We are still together at home

I called you Grace

Because it was by his Grace

That I was able to have my hearts desire

Today I am grateful for life

And my beautiful gift from the Higher Power.
