Poem -

Alone

Alone

She stands alone.

She is without a home.

She is left to roam the empty roads.

Her heart as tough as stone.

She groans, falling to her knees.

she looks up to the sky, only to see trees.

her hair flows as the harsh breeze blows.

she lays froze, off in a doze.

she watches the crows, as they soar the night sky.

She only wants to cry, but her eyes are now dry.

She didn't want to say goodbye.

She did not wish to die.

All you did was lie, while all she did was try and cry.

you broke her, over and over.

While he walked behind her.

She didn't want to leave him, but she needed to escape you.

In the end, you didn't comprehend, that all she really needed was her friend.

He would defend her and mend her.

While you broke her and provoked her.

Now she laid cold, no longer afraid, as her friend stayed, as she started to fade.

he wished to help, but all he could do is whelp.

He yelps out his confession, about his depression.

That she was his savior, and that she was braver.

But in the end, it left him alone, without a home, with no where to roam, a heart of stone, off in a doze, under the night sky.

He didn't want her to die.

Why her? Why, why, why?

Now he is left to cry, with tears filling his eyes, until they go dry, all alone in the night, as she slowly dies.
