ALONE?
I look up at the stars at nightĀ
And get to thinking
While stars a twinklingĀ
About the possibilityĀ
Of other lifeĀ
Why not?Ā
Weāre hereĀ
A planet filled with lifeĀ
Floating in the dark abyss,
A vast open spaceĀ
That seems to stretchĀ
For an eternity and beyondĀ
Beyond
That word aloneĀ
Suggests distanceĀ
Maybe there are other planetsĀ
With existenceĀ
Who knows they may be already hereĀ
Living among us
We just canāt see them Ā
Scared to show their true formĀ
Scared that we wouldnāt Ā accept their oddĀ
AppearanceĀ
but wouldnāt we be odd to them too?
I meanĀ
We call them aliensĀ
But those aliensĀ
Would see us as the sameĀ
Wouldnāt we be brandedĀ
With the same name?
I think thatās a fair assumptionĀ
Not a presumptionĀ
TechnologyĀ
Weāre do we get it?
Are our governments tradingĀ
With other life formsĀ
From far off worlds?
Somethingās amissĀ
Our aircraft get more futuristicĀ
Year after yearĀ
Taking on the formĀ
Of Ā supposed ufo sightingsĀ
Or is this a myth?
Are we lied too?Ā
The government doesnāt tell us everythingĀ
Thatās the reason for area 51Ā
What goes on at that place ?
This top secret facilityĀ
That has a shoot on site policyĀ
That swears itās employees to secrecyĀ
And are gagged till the day they dieĀ
or if they speak out theyāre lookingĀ
over their shoulderĀ
afraid Ā for their livesĀ
somethingās not right
what do you think?
Are we alone?Ā
Does ET phone home?Ā
Or is the galaxy our ownĀ
Or maybe just maybeĀ
They already call earth their homeĀ

We would be strange to them for sure...
They would certainly hold much intelligence...

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā thanks for reading, i have wondered for years about the possibility of other life. i myself have encountered a strange flying object. i could see it clear as day a triangular shaped object landed on a golf course about a quarter of a mile from where i lived at the time. i jumped in the car and raced to the golf course but just as i turned the corner to the entrance their was a loud hum and it shot straight up in the air. freaked me out it lol i was 20 at the time but i will never forget it, my own little close encounter. on a side not i noticed you read cloth trimmed box their are two other parts to that poem would be grateful for the feedback,Ā

Hey JEFF!!......I Love that you posted this very searching piece!!......I write a blog on Metaphysics, so for me it's always cool to see someone thinking outside the box!!..... In all of my research and visits to the power places on this planet...... like the pyramids, Stonehenge, and some of the ruins from ancient civilizations around the globe (and really MUCH more) there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that there is alien life...... for SO MANY reasons to even go into here...... But I DID just want to say what a wonderfully well crafted poetic titillation for those "on the fence" you have presented here...... there is so much proof from ancient cave drawings to inexplicable monuments and structures that humans are still incapable of reproducing that for me......I feel fortunate to have run across your write...... just another affirmation in my mind that there are so many true seekers out there...... the mind is evolving MUCH faster than technology...... and your poem was a pleasure brother poet.......ALL STARS....... hugs-n-high fives!!......T xo

I totally agree with you on this subject. It stands to reason that there is life on other worlds otherwise how come we are here? For all we know we could be the aliens in one big experiment! In the vastness of space there must be other forms of life, I think it`s simply arrogant of our leaders to say that we are the only inhabited planet. I really get annoyed when our governments try to hide this important information from us and treat us all like idiots, it`s all about power and gain with them and superior weapons technology. Technology has advanced so much since the 40`s and it`s wrong that the governments of the world are keeping all that information from us. It`s all to do with defense secrets. The N.S.A, C.I.A and our own secret services are hiding a lot from us and it`s all wrong and it will cause many deaths one day, just like in the film Independence Day, because the ordinary folk won`t be prepared for anything when it does all go wrong. There are so many people who have experienced multiple abductions and have physical proof or like you, have experienced sightings that the governments are just making themselves look stupid when they keep denying these events and sightings and saying they are not real. Even an American aircraft carrier during the war had alien ships fly over them and they disappeared into the ocean, they prbably have a base down there for all we know! One sailor in an investigation program said `It buzzed them` and all their electronic equipment stopped working, they were all sworn to secrecy, and there were several thousand sailors made to sign a secret document and their lives depended on not saying anything. That particular witness in the program I watched only agreed to go on record because he was dying of cancer and didn`t give a damn about the official secrets form he had to sign. There are many stories about this subject. Well done for this piece it was really interesting to read.
