Alone and Broken

Why is it so hard to genuinely love someone? You try so hard to love people but the world we live in is so complicated. You finally get to that point where you just give up, you can't go on. Everyone turns into backstabbers, users, and abusers but they look at you like you're the problem. You find yourself asking "Am I the problem?, Do I need to change?, Am I asking for to much?" You begin to shut down and become isolated because that's the only way you feel loved, the only place you feel safe. In due time you may become your own worse enemy but that doesn't bother you. You know you deserve better and you rather not settle, but you wonder sometimes would that be better then being alone? You're in a world filled with so many different people but none like you, why is that? As you look around you're surrounded by all of these beautiful relationships and friendships. But yet you have no friends, you only have associates that come around when it's beneficial to them. You care for every living thing on God's green earth but when it's time for you to be cared for you're so drained all you can do is cry. You constantly tell yourself you not broken and asking yourself why do you feel broken? You're so young and fragile, you've been through so much but yet you still don't know how to live. You find the strength to carry on while wondering what's your purpose. You have so much love to give and no one to give it to, so many bottled up emotions and not a soul to share them with. When one of you're so-called friends have a problem they run to you, and you help them through it. When you're going through something you sit alone in a closed room and cry but why. Am I my biggest down fall or am I truly my own hero??
