Alone on Halloween

The night was one for cuddling by the fire
In the air were spooked in goblin attire
Spiders, witches is and bloodied ghouls
We saw fiery pumpkins and costumes so cruel
We saw silhouetted bats in a blood moon sky
Where Frankenstein figures with ghost with one eye
There were vampires who were out to blood suck
We were huddled by the fire with blankets well tucked
Knocks on the door made us all frightfully feel
There may be a wizard casting spells for real
They were all for treats and maybe some tricks
Or maybe some children with playful sword sticks
Black green eyed cats were out for a howl
And punch back monsters who would give you a scowl
But the most ghastly thing that came and went
Was our landlord coming for the rent

I'm trying to post this for a contest the first one was not accepted for the contest nor was it posted.
The first one was not posted so I posted this one again. There's about 2 people home alone during Halloween and waiting for trick-or-treaters.
