Along the quayside 💙

Along the quayside 💙

Strolling along the harbour wall eating fish and chips

Smelling the saltiness from the sea and marvelling at the ships

Fishermen throwing flat flounders onto the stoney pier

Spare scraps of fishy freebies, a welcome sight for any holiday maker here

Boats moored up for another night, ropes tied to the harbour wall

Old die-hard anglers with rods in hands catching tiddlers small

Oh how I adore walking along the quayside when I visit the coast

My childhood memories are the ones I love the most

Reminiscing the many long hours I played as a tiny tot on this very pier

Standing by my Father watching him steer

He was a captain of his fishing boat

With responsibilities and keeping it afloat
