Poem -

Already Bought the Farm

twenty five thousand pages all the wishes paid

Woodstock preservation and pickle research

states' states

all the borrowed ideas didn't imagine

floods and hurricanes taking souls and hope

my tears listen

hopeless hopeful

plead for patches

power's a false icon

in a windblown trust

equal and fair, pasted in living promise

hiding benevolence behind red ribbon glued tight

children and lawyers

stand alone together

without lunch box, phone or home.
