amber melodies

Adored and loved for her peculiar beauty, color and antiquity
A gem in fact, can you guess how she got that way?
Come along and and discern with me in these amber melodies
As nature profoundly intended, she begins life soft, dull and nothing but ordinary
All fierce storms she surpassed made her stronger, bringing the burden of valuable essence to laboriously carry
A protector , a guardian hardened in time
The stronger nature makes her, the more her natural beauty can shine
Amber melodies float away in the breeze
In our hearts and in our trees
And when you ponder on how she reached a beauty only nature could provide
Remember, she fought through fire, rain and thunder, she traveled through time

Yes cherie you hit the nail right on the head. You always get it. Thank you for reading
awesome, Amber, this is such a unique expressive poem, very much like viewing a painting; you have the eye of a good painter, and this has an almost audible voice as well, so many things to like here, what stands out for me, though, is your control, very measured in the description, perfectly formatted, reads organic, conversational (self-awareness, without demonstrating ego; well done) ....the trees reference fits so perfectly, though I don't know why-- maybe the natural easy quality of the tone, whatever it is, everything works, great portrait of the inner self, using beautiful natural imagery....what a cool way to write a poem, this reads so legit, amazingly good, man, enjoyed....terrific pull-quote, two lines showing balance; you speak of 'character' and second line explains that....this is really good, I'll stop....cheers

Oh geez Christopher thank you so much for your very kind words! It truly means alot that you look at my poetry in a way that some readers don't understand or can't see. You are the real mvp
And the tree part is referring to how the amber stone is formed from tree resin
