Amber Sunset

Like 1 Pin it 0The hanging street gardens beckon longingly
And Mother Nature obliges
with a tropical breeze
The varied flowers react
Like the rich executives that hail taxicabs
with confidence and style
Where is beauty? Where, as such, does it flourish?
Wherever, I surmise, you may see a rose
A rose of concentrated red, as that of the setting sun
When it burns into the plateau of twilight
The pureĀ azure sky, along with the greenest
foliage and sundry songbirds, is gone
Where is the nutrious life? Where is the natural music?
Now I just hear a soulful noiseĀ
It rings in my ears until it doesn't
Daylight color is now replaced by the evening's
Daylight sounds have changed in tone
But, before the night falls there is something
Something I cannot overlook
The amber sunset
Just before it reddens
And burns into the plateau of twilight

This is masterfully conceived and delivered........... the title being burned into the minds eye of the reader.......... you have an uncommonly smooth way of delivering phrasing........ as I read I kept seeing "The amber sunset, just before it reddens"Ā .....this has amazing flow to it ~ once again........ you seem to have found a very unique voicing here ..........that is a difficult thing to accomplish........... lovely write............ALL STARS.......... well done brother poet!!........... high fives!!...........T xo
Thank you Tony. I just had a mental picture of that particular sunset and stayed on it. I try to be an artist I suppose, which I wish I was. But it's never too late to learn, right? Thanks again brother poet!
