In The Rain

When memories fall upon me
I go walking in the rain

Turmoil is a whirlpool at sea

I sail my ship in vain

The streets are barren and dark

I am caught in a flash flood
Lightning creates a spark
The river runs wild in my blood

My drowning is real

The storm will reveal

I am catapulted to a great hurricane
Where there is only pain...
Yet I drink the rain

My cup is full of acidity
Falling from the heavens roaring

My love becomes infinity
As the fiery rain is pouring

I am walking tall in the deluge
My tears are washed away

I find my way to a refuge
I will await the light of day

I will not drown in the rain
Not dwell on your memory
I will forget the pain

I will forget you and me
