Poem -

Amen

i didn't know You. a stranger in the wind that looked out of place. a troubled ghost only looking for an escape.

You were transparent in the eyes of those who cared so little. only after You were gone, did i, WE, realize, You are our angel to show us mercy. our savior to guide us, yet invisible, Your spirit roams free.

You teach, a life's elegance is simply overlooked when present but only when it's absence condemns do we truly recognize it's beauty, Your beauty.

in the hallway, i didn't stop to say hello, i didn't stop to wave goodbye. let this be my proper goodbye to the stranger in the hall, Your life will forever be cherished and remembered.

the man i never knew, Preston.

Amen.
