" AMERICA THE UN-BEAUTIFUL "

In the subtle motion of paranormal wings
An untruth, did waver
As an anti-quaver,
Just slowly enough to, not, disgrace
The injustice done
To the pulchritude,
Of life's true intent
The un-obviousness of it
As though, the ancient
Advisors,
Had left the rigors
Of malcontent,
Upon the shores of irreverence,
And America
Was born
The enslaver, through rhetoric,
And technology's
Back door,
To where truth became
Unborn,
And we, the enslaved
Sopped it ALL up,
Like,
Baby-food...

Hi Tony Ā IĀ agree with Cherie i could notĀ
live without my laptop lolĀ
I understand where your coming from
with your poem though i think. That weĀ
use modern technology all to easy
forgetting the beautyĀ
of the human mindĀ and its capabilities
i love your poems that make you think out of the box
Great write Ā Love n hugs Debs xo
Ā
Yay!!....Thanx DEBS!!.......sometimes ~ outside of the box can become quite familiar(smiles).........thanx so much for this my friend.......Love and Rockets!!......T xo
My Poetic Brother Tony,
As usual, you challenge every ounce of my mind for interpretation, with arcane rhetoric and mystifying metaphor.Ā Upon these "shores of irreverence" we all landed, some in shackle and chain.Ā Now, four centuries have passed, and we are all prisoners of the untruths.Ā Please make my "baby food" organic!
Peace, Love and Rockets,
xox Larry
LOL! ~ thanx LARRY!!..... ok...... organic baby food for you brother!! (smiles)...... the write was just aiming at the idea that computers take away from time spent observing the natural beauty of the Earth itself....... not that I hate computers....... just ALL things in moderation........thanx again for the support my friend........ Love and Rockets!!........T xo
Hi Dear Tony,
Oops.Ā I guess the hidden meaning did not compute in my brain.Ā I told you, that it challenged my intellectual interpretation, and I thought you were talking about how our country was born and has lived through the toil of the common man, while those at the top, reveled in its riches.Ā Also, the one you wrote about the E.T., I was not implying that you had touched one; it was just part of an illusion.Ā I forgot to ask you to get me organic vegan baby food.
Peace, Love and Rockets, my Brother Poet,
xox Larry
Hey ToneyĀ
Awesome subject and choice of pic.
IĀ agree with you and the other great poets that left you comments, Without the technology I would end up spending my evenings listning to the locals talking of rodeo's and chewing tobacco. Happy to connect with people that force me to "right click" and learn definitions on new words.
Well writen Sir Toney! I now dub thee one of my favorite Knights.
Quixotic.
Ā
Cool!! ~ Thanx QUIXOTIC!!........ rodeo's!? (interesting)....... spent some time in Texas....... still a fan to this day!!........I appreciate you taking the time with this one my friend.......... Love and Rockets!!.......T xo
