Amidst the Daisy ring

Amidst the Daisy ring

In amongst the meadow flowers
Tho I know you shall not see
Lives a fairy bride & her pixie groom
Along with all their folklore family

It was only yesterday
I had climbed a little higher
Rambling through the Bluebell wood
collecting kindling for my fire

So feeling rather tired
I needed to rest a little while
decending down the hillock
crossing over the wooden stile

As I sat down on the morning dew grass
Amidst a daisy ring
listening thru the whistling wind
I chanced upon the strangest thing

I saw two tiny wings a’fluttering
well I couldn’t believe my eyes these belonged to a fragile fairy painted like pretty butterflies

I almost thought that she would fly away
we both got such a startled fright
Staring at each other in amazement at our sight

Then as fast as lightening she waved a little shiny stick
As she flapped her tiny feathered wings conjuring up her magic trick

All at once I felt myself decreasing
I had no time to think
Her magic was so powerful
as my body began to shrink

Of course I realised the stick was
her wand full of magical powers
as I stood the size of her hiding in betwixt the flowers

Out of the blue there was the most magnificent beautiful babbling brook
I’d never seen the likes of this not in a story book

I had the best adventure I really have to say
Dancing & prancing along with Trixie Bell on her fairy wedding day

By the way incase you are wondering
If I am normal size again
With a flick of Trixie Belle’s wand I was as right as rain
