Amnesia!!!😰

A momentary mindlessness, hair raising hallucination

Not in my wildest dreams, could I contemplate this fictional fabrication

As I stand before an officer of the law, by the counter at the local police station

Blood is oozing from gaping gashes on my face

Tho my recent recollections are but a timelessness to trace

For the life of me, I cannot recall what happened, and my momentous memory is muddled in misplace

Have I committed a crime? coz that would be an utter disgrace

Why am I bleeding, what an earth did I do?

Have I been in an accident from out of the blue?

Well I am hoping for some answers, coz I really do not have a clue

The very last thing that I can recall, I was with my spouse at a barbecue

We were laughing and joking, everything seemed so fine

Stuffing sausage sandwiches in our mouths and supping on rioja red wine

“Please officer can you shed some light on this mysterious mayhem of mine?”

My husband is not standing next to me, I feel this is a very bad sign

Did I drive the car whilst I was over the legal limit?

Surely not, and where the hell is he now, Oh my God, were we hit?

“Oh but wait a minute, I can remember a little bit”
