AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT

AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT

I arrived into Harwich Port
Hoping against hope I would not get caught
For I am an illegal immigrant on your pleasant land
The killing in my country is something I don't understand

I boarded a large vehicle while he was on a break
Each step I took was dangerous to make
I hid behind stones, bricks, rubble and wood
Hoping to set foot in a country which is polite and good

When this large vehicle arrived at its destination
I hurried out at Waterloo station
I don't know what the future has in store
I just know it will be better than it was before
