Poem -

An old song I wrote that I found in my old notebook (inspired by 'In Bloom' if I recall correctly)

The world began today
Life isn't handed on a silver tray
We have to find a way
Some folk like to pray
But praying is for fools
Hooligans parade the schools
Skip your ABC
And delve right into delinquency
The grown ups stay behind
But I guess that it feels fine

I'm ready for whatever comes
My mind is like a loaded gun
Waiting to fire into oblivion
Our love will burn under a blazing sun

Like a wolf that's lost its pack
We're always looking back
But we can't keep living in the past
'cause nothing ever lasts
Like a lion in a cage, filled full of rage
Nature can't be tamed

I'm ready for whatever comes
My mind is like a loaded gun
Waiting to fire into oblivion
Our love will burn under a blazing sun

The world ended today
Life came and went away
No one's gonna pray
Time and space have disappeared without a trace
It was all pretend
Now we can breathe again
