I Know Jealousy

I know jealousy
I hear it, in its silence
I feel it, in its ignorance
I know its sniggers
and I know its sneers
I know its spineless mockery
that's concealed within
the jealous ones

I know jealousy
I have deduced it
from its furtive jibes
I have seen it
In its burning glares
of contempt

I know jealousy
I've felt its unrestrained anger
in its screwed and sour face
I hear it
In its many whispers
I see it
In its sad and empty eyes

I know jealousy
I know its disregard
I know it likes to think you don't exist
I've seen jealousy
In all its horror and its ugliness
I've seen the jealous ones
