Angel

Angel

I grew up in a carnal and sinful existence
Betrayed my dearest friends
Friends that wept for my downfall
I had fallen from grace
From the the most beautiful place
Which was in her arms
I let my vanity and pride
Put true love aside
And then I cried
Realizing the grave error, believing that I could get away with making her fall for a fallen angel like me
I accept I am not an angel
She is free, emancipated
I see her wings
Her smile radiates once again
I will let her go with sorrow on my face
She is in a better place
Without me
An angel she truly is...
