The Angel of Death

The Angel of Death

Darkness enveloping the unwary
Bludgeoning the Life From His Brains
Splattering the remnants
On his Darkened window panes

Measured Weighed and Wanting
The twine severed too soon
She was Beaten Raped and Murdered
Under the Darkness of the Moon

Alone in the Moist Blackness
Screaming until he bleeds
A little boy fades to Oblivion
Amongst the Grass and the Reeds

In a Lonely, Cold, White Bed
Flooded in Florescent Light
An old lady breaths her last
The plug pulled on her final Fight

'neath a long-sleeved flannel shirt
A man clutches at his Chest
A heart that is failing
Comes Inevitably to Rest

It comes for everyone
Sometime, Somewhere, Somehow
The Darkened Forbidding Angel
Shrouded in Death's midnight cowl

His Blade is Dim and Sharpened
Held in his Eternal Fists
Hunting down his Prey
His Mercy does not Exist
