Angel of the Dawn
 
You are my loving angel of the morning
Bring me sunlight when skies are storming
 
You lay me down in the very arms of love
Swear that you came from somewhere above
 
Your loving touch takes the tension from me
Give love to my heart and in return set it free
 
I will be forever in your loving heart’s debt
No longer wondering where the good days went
 
Like magic you place your kiss upon my face
Puts my aching heart in a state of grace
 
Angel please bare your heart and soul to me
Give my eyes vision so that they can see
 
You manage to brighten even my darkest of nights
Come morning you are the precious rays of sunlight
 
Wish you would be with me for the rest of my days
Please say that your heart will never have to go away
 
Tell me of all the beautiful thoughts in your head
As we lay in one another’s arms across my bed
 
This is the sacred love between two hearts
Your kiss ignited a fire right from the start
 
You are my one and only loving angel of the dawn

And all of my dreams simply turn to rust
 
If you ever spread your wings and fly away
