Another kid checked if he could fly,
Another lost soul begging for redemption.
Another broken child crying a painful cry.
Another depressed teenager aiming for perfection,
starving herself to make a good impression.
Another lost addict trying to find hope,
Another suicidal kid tying a rope.

Another smart girl escaping the world with a razor.
Another raped teen aiming the gun at her head.
Another lost boy hitting his knuckles against a wall,
Another sad child curling into a ball.
Another ‘messed up’ girl from school,
taking pictures naked, trying to be cool.
Another kid getting high, to not feel so dull.
Another person, swallowing pills,
because he couldn’t pay his bills.

Another bully feels like a fool,
coming back to a house with a strict rule.
He comes back to a house with everything he wants,
yet the house is empty, and he’s calling for help but
gets no response.

We can’t fucking see,
the flaws in modern society.
But now that I’ve grown, now I see                                                                                                              just how cruel and shallow
humanity can be.
