The Answer Is Love

Who is left behind
Your pain, your sorrow,
Your cry, your sigh.
Your broken heart,
The pieces so sharp Your anger, so fierce,
Your despair, your tears.
If you knew this was the day,
You’d fill the time with words to say,
How much you loved, how much they meant,
To you, just once, before they went.
This sudden passing clipped your wings,
A broken record, no song to sing.
Amongst the rubble, the dust, the troubles,
Lays your heart a broken bubble.
From the ashes, rises new hope,
A shiny spirit undented, unbroken
Evil lies in dust at its feet,
As love continues its eternal beat.
