Anthem (poem for chapters 1-6,) a poem I had to do for class.

epilogue- the book "Anthem" is about a diverse society were there is no differences in people. No one has any choices or family, they just meet up once a year to have sex, they live in a extreme communism. A very simple society. They also never say the word "I" when speaking about themselves they say "we" or "us", which makes the book rather hard to read, this is a poem I had to write for school about chapters 1-6, about the girl he had a crush on, and about getting thrown in jail for creating a lightbulb because they have no electricity here, they only use candles. anyways- here it is...
No electricity,
no passion,
no being alone,
no fashion,
no having friends,
no choosing your own jobs,
everyone is equal,
even merchants; even slobs.
We have broken the rules,
we are evil.
they will corrected us if they know,
so we can be most people.
But when we met the golden one;
our heart began to glow.
Liberty is our everything,
the reason, I do not know.
we were put away,
to our back; they gave a lash,
we escaped our cell,
from there we made a dash..
we created a light without fire,
what shall happen next?
our hearts think of her,
and our mind remains perplexed.
