Anxiety

Anxiety
my friend here you are
how long has it been now
I walked a path bereft of your presence for some time
How were we introduced
Can you remember
Not the usual introduction I must admit
A type of possession I feel what about you
Perhaps that is the way of it
Old friends now
I cannot remember the way I was before we met
Can you
Did I call for you then
Did I ask you to come
I didn't know what I was doing
Honestly I'm sorry, I don't want you around any more,
I'm tired being your friend
You're never satisfied
You've viewed my life now one play after the next
Some good, some bad
You the critic, watch
You message me your thoughts
I feel sick when I take them in
I have asked you to leave many times, you're still here
How to escort you out
I don't know
If I manage, old friend, to shake you off, what will you do
Possess someone new
Or are you forever mine and me thine
When I pass what will become of you
I will be at peace therefore you will cease
