Poem -

Apart

I want to hold him close. Put my head on his chest to hear the thumps of his heartbeat.

but I pull away afraid, afraid of what happens if I get to close. Afraid of what will happen if I let him in.

He sees through me, through every facade and mask I try to put up. Every wall, brick and stone he walks right through.

And just like that he walks straight into my heart too.

Good Write,

For he does see through
the walls
an Masks
For he used them for so long
But they're cracked
And he
Searched
To
Find The shard
Of the ember
that is lost
forgotten
For without
it
Hes
Empty
His arms
Are empty
Lips
Are Bare
And His Mind
Is flashing
To her, and
The shard of his heart
She carries
Inside
Of Her
Hidden
