THE APATHY OF WAR

Powered by light

in absence we fright

a day away, some would say,

the dreams today, colored gray

Frightened child

mindless mile

an echoed thought that fears exile

Tears and tulips

Yellow beds

A new-born nation's flag

that's dead

Countries rising

Falling back

Blind but moving

right on track

Living /dying out through time

Playing games they think sublime

Death!  Ha! Ha! Funny!  Lala Land

Rot!  Jolly lolly Candy Man

Decay, portray the happy day

Stench, in this we like to play

There's but one buffer which prevents us

from communicating with telepathy galore

And that one buffer is our inevitable

apathy of war
