Apology

I apologise, on behalf of all mankind

for uncontrollably breeding,

like a rash upon your skin.

We have wreaked havoc upon you,

put a fist through your heart,

ripped out your golden soul,

to fuel our own consuming passions.

I hope you can forgive us.

It is only now that you retaliate,

we realise the damage we have caused.

I hope, one day we can live

in harmony, together.

Is it too late to be undone?

Have we gone too far?

Destroyed the ones connected to you?

We could have learnt a thing or two.

Our ignorance, our own demise.
