Apology

I cherish you as a shell treasures her pearl
To keep you safe I would travel to the ends of the world
Your heart so dear yes I'll always serve and protect you
And uphold what is righteous, honorable, to love true
You deserve such sweet blessings and tender adoration
Such a delicate flower, touches shouldn't be hastened
So with these words I do write to express my sincerity
To apologize, make right and treat you with rarity
Now my love I ask of you to graciously forgive me
And allow that I show you my love with much dignity
