~ APRICOT FLOWERS ~
Could have been a dream line
A time when apricot flowers smiled
And all signs of dying lay still
In a casketed, sublime, rain
Making trails on the window
And false kings never noticing
That the time was perfect...
Could have been an escape pod
Riding a dream line to the gods
Burning a golden trail across time
And into the nervous system of rhyme
Making a mockery of meter
And simpletons of molded minds
Never mind, the men in armor...
What is it really?
An experience, a day to wonder why,
An honest phrase, a life, a dimming light?
I wonder why,
I wonder what it all may have been....
Could have been a dream line
