april jones

a community in wales torn apart at the seams
an innocent child full of hopes and dreams
her mother coral all consumed with guilt
friends and family supporting her to the hilt
how cruel is this world when such tragedies pass
monsters walk amongst us evil thoughts they amass
apprehended and trialed, all lies exposed
the truth of the matter was never disclosed
no punishment is fitting for such an evil deed
some semblance of justice as he'll never be freed
but a little girls life is over its too much to take
she did nothing wrong she made no mistake
pink ribbons adorn the village, the place she called home
folk recalling her fondly should their memories roam
a bright light went out in the valleys when april was taken
her memory will live on for ever and will not be forsaken
good night god bless angel you are free from your pain life will carry on but will never be the same
