Poem -

are You OK?

Are You OK?

I know you're not comingΒ
back to me, honey.
No need to keep calling me.
You're falling into a pit of guilt love.
You asked me every day.
Are you OK?
Well no,
I am not OK.
I have not been OkΒ
since
I was a little boy in grade school.
But every morning
I shower,
I shave ,
Put on a clean shirt.
I slap on aftershaveΒ
and breathe as deep as I can.
Sometimes
That has to be enough for me
.

Are you OK is a crap question anyhow
