Arizona Sky
Home

Little bright rays rain down through the mountains vast array of brush and cacti,
Crisp cool air wisps past unbraided beard hair,
Swaying gracefully while we drive,
Sitting atop the peaks,
Long-Fully looking upon the desert valley floor frosted in fog,
Patiently pondering how we got here after all that time,
Fading fast like sand through funneled glass,
Moon less nights crop dusted by space sparklers,
Streaking far and faintly falling down the blackened background,
Wandering alongside you on the edge of lake Havasu,
Crossing great canyons from end to end,
Praying that this path will bring us back once again,
Caves and crevasse’s cover this cramped canvas,
Splashes of color ring around the rim,
Soaked in starry sadness,
Lightning never strikes twice but best believe that’s a lie,
Because when we locked eyes I was shocked by that Arizona sky.
