As Time Goes By

Yesterday we had a birthday party, for a special three-year-old;
Our Great Granddaughter, little Anna, worth all her weight in gold!
We had it at a restaurant, with the best pizza in our town;
Lots of family came to it, the kids ran all around!
.
Of course, eventually they all will grow up, and have children of their own;
The years go by so quickly, the seeds of futures sown!
It seems like only yesterday, my son Martin Seth was born;
Now half a century later, our lives are so adorned!
.
Linda took this precious photograph, of three buddies meant to be;
The handsome one in the middle, why of course, that would be me!
My Grandson Zach was to the left of me, my son Marty to the right;
Three generations of our family, that held and loved last night!
.
.
A Father’s treasure
A Son and his Son holding
Love overflowing

Thanks Greg.
Sure wish we were down there today, because it's 30 degrees now and windy. But, tomorrow, through Wednesday, it's supposed to be sunny, and all of a whopping fifty degrees. Aren't we lucky.

Hi Elizabeth,
My dear son and grandson keep "me up", so the words come very easily when writing about them. Thank you for your kind comment.
I have just made a copy of your latest poem "Under The Moonlight Baby", and will read and comment on it in the wee hours of tomorrow, when I do all my poetic endeavors.
Peace and Love,

Hey LARRY!!....this beautiful in SO MANY ways!!.....I don't want to go overboard here...because I find this to be SO moving!!.....the one thing, aside from your extraordinary narrative skills, that I would like to point out is the 'subject matter'!!.....not only is it a great choice for Anyone to write on.....but yours is a life 'truly blessed' by the subject matter....generations, together, one picture, love, overflowing .......EXTRAORDINARY!!.....so MANY would die to be as blessed as this picture, poem, family, and love overflowing!!!.....you, my friend, are a treasure!!......thanx for sharing this!!.......PINNED for purity!!..,,,.your friend and ever-admirer!!......T xo ?✳✴☀♥???♥♥
My Dear Brother Tony,
Your remarkable response had moved me so deeply, that we have just copied it, and in the wee hours of tonight, I will give it all the proper attention it so well deserves.
Love you Bro,

My Dear Brother Tony,
Here is what I have to say, after delving into your remarkable comment.
I am a truly Blessed man, for I have two beautiful family's.
The first, as the narrative describes, the progeny that has grown to become the dear offspring of my life.
The second, my dear coterie of unbelievable poetic soulmates, such as you, who bring me untold joy, and lavish me with words of praise.
It is my honor to be your friend.
Love you Bro,
Larry xxx
